A Go Big Event would typically describe a gathering, where a number of people are coming from different places to be together.

For some big events in our lives we need event planners. Those are the people that specialize in many types of events. The event could be a 50th Wedding Anniversary, a Family Reunion, an 80th Birthday party, or of course, a wedding.
For big events you will almost certainly need a planner or an organizer. They specialize in the venue, food, entertainment, guest list, etc. at the chosen destination.
