Why cruise with Azamara?
Port Intensive
Most itineraries are port intensive. Azamara focuses on staying late in port and sometimes overnight. They minimize ‘sea days’ and can country-intensive itineraries that get deep into a country and its culture in the unique way a ship can.
Long Cruises
Almost all cruises are at least 7 days and most most are 9 to 16 nights. It is also often possible to book back-to-back cruises. There are many options to add city stays and land tours to the beginning or end of your adventure. Orient Express, Wine Tours and safari are all possibilities to extend your Big vacation.
Ambience
The ambience on-board is not stuffy, it is relaxed while luxurious. The crew are regarded as able, attentive and friendly. Even when the ship is in port, many people stay on-board because the on-board ambience is so welcoming.
Dining
The dining is a step up from many cruise ships. All ships have a main restaurant, a buffet and often one or more specialty restaurants. Aside from the restaurants, many ships create special dining events during the cruise to introduce new dining experiences with local dishes relative to the itinerary.
The White Party
Azamara holds what is known as ‘The White Party’ and is considered one of the best deck parties at sea. The excitement begins before boarding because those in the know bring their own White Outfit with them. On deck, while sailing, there is an exquisite barbecue and buffet that is served by the officers that lasts through sunset and into the night with dancing and drinking.
Complimentary inclusions
Azamara does not offer any all-inclusive cruises, but they do offer many complimentary things including some alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, shuttles and gratuities, to name a few. Most cruises include one AzAmazing Evening shore excursion.
Adult Preferred
Azamara is definitely not considered child-friendly. Though children are allowed on board, there is basically very little for them to do. That is fine if you are going as an extended family and provide your own entertainment, but there are no ‘kids clubs’ and no youth programs or youth staff. The ships are intimate in every way, so there isn’t really any appropriate space for children to be.
